ACHIEVEMENTS:    
Directed development and implementation of United States Marine Corps client/server logistics systems by leading and motivating team members to achieve success. 
Result:  Near real time client/server logistics system for the Marine Corps delivered on time and on budget.
 
Contruibuted to and led efforts to implement Marine Corps Reserves Budget by finding new ways to save funding and consolidating over 190 supply accounts at the Battalion level.
Result: Reduced layers of accountability and saved the Marine Corps Reserves over $1M annually.
 
Turned around a troubled mismanaged unaccountable supply account and trained personnel in proper administration and warehouse procedures. 
Result:  100% accuracy during Division Supply surprise inspection.
 
Communicated to all stakeholders of the Marine Corps Logistics System informed of project status using verbal, written and electronic means keeping all informed. 
Result: brought the project in on time and on budget.
 
Made tough management decisions while assigned as software project manager by observing strict deadlines and delaying functionality. 
Result: Met all deadlines leading to successful launch of project.
 
Led and directed software development team of functional analysts in designing and developing a prototype of the future Marine Corps Logistics system (supply, maintenance, warehouse management, readiness reporting). 
Result: Eventually led to a near real time client/server system.
 
Met all critical design and development deadlines for software development team by meeting and exceeding software requirements for the Marine Corps Logistics System. 
Result: Delivered outstanding system while bringing the project in on time and on budget.
 
Led and managed purchasing team to initiate and effectively establish policies and procedures for implementing the use of the International Merchant Purchase Authorization Card (IMPAC) at over 190 Marine Reserve sites.
Result: Negotiated reduced fees by using electronic payments thereby saving the Marine Reserve Force over $50,000 annually and providing more efficient purchasing support to the Reserves.
 

Achieved college degree while on active duty in the Marine Corps using self motivation to attend off duty education. 

Result: Applied for and accepted assignment to officer candidate school leading to officer commissioning.
 

Delivered numerous presentations to senior officers convincing these leaders to pursue a Major Contracting Office initiative therefore providing greater support to over 190 Marine Reserves sites. 

 
Result: Saved to the Marine Corps Reserve over $200,000 annually and provided total control of all purchases made by the Reserves.
 

Dedicated efforts of over six years on project for a near real time client/server logistics system for the Marine Corps. 

Result: Logistics system delivered in the spring of 1999 and along with four additional successful release enhancements.

Program Executive Office, Simulations, Training & Instrumentation (PEO STRI)
July 2006 - Present  Project Director Orlando, FL 
  • Serving as project director and action officer for the Program Executive Office, Simulations, Training & Instrumentation (PEO STRI), Program Manager Combined Arms Tactical Trainers (PM CATT), Synthetic Environment (SE) Core, Database Virtual Environment Development (DVED).
  • The U.S. Army Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training, and Instrumentation (PEO STRI) awarded a contract valued at $17 million to CAE USA, Tampa, Fla. Under the Synthetic Environment Core (SE-Core) Database Virtual Environment Development (DVED) contract, CAE USA will develop rapid database production processes and tools, and establish an Orlando-based database production center supporting the Army’s Common Virtual Environment (CVE). The total value of the contract could reach an estimated $59 million over five years.
  • SE Core’s mission is to provide a CVE integrated within the Live, Virtual, and Constructive Training Environment (LVC TE). SE Core will develop the CVE by linking virtual simulations into a fully integrated training capability through new virtual simulation architecture. This linkage of current and future virtual training devices will enable the Army to execute combined arms and joint training, mission planning and rehearsals at home station, en route, and at deployed locations.
  • Performs life-cycle planning, management, and direction of the SE Core Database Virtual Environment Development (DVED) project, a multi-year, multi-million dollar program to develop a Standardized Rapid Terrain Generation process, to include the design and fielding of Database Generation Production Centers in both CONUS and OCONUS locations.
  • Leads a multi-disciplinary team made up of Government and contractor support personnel and is responsible for the cost, schedule performance and risk management of the DVED project.
  • Establishes goals and milestones in support of DVED’s initial 18 month schedule and follow-on activities for continued development and fielding.
  • Performs financial management, including the budgeting and execution of engineering change proposals (ECP), unsolicited proposals, and logical follow-on modifications.
  • Coordinates with the SE Core Project Director for the Architecture and Integration (A&I) program to ensure both synergy and deconfliction of requirements between these two complementary efforts.
  • Represents the Assistant Project Manager (APM) SE Core in both briefings and meetings with the user representative, the TRADOC Capabilities Manager– Virtual (TCM-V), industry partners, and Army/DoD personnel, specifically the Army G3 (Training).
  • Prepares and presents the quarterly DVED Program Management Review (PMR) to the PM CATT, Senior PEO STRI staff, and TCM-V.
